Taushe Bhakri | Cucumber Bhakri | Cucumber Rotti

Ingredients

Grated Cucumber
(3 Large Cucumbers, ~ 250 gms)

Cup
Rava, Semolina
(~120 gms, See Notes)

Cup
Grated Coconut

Finely Chopped Green Chillies

Salt to Taste
Ghee or Oil for pan frying the bhakri
Instructions
Making the Batter
In a bowl, mix all ingredients together to make a thick batter of dropping consistency.
Cover and set aside for 15 minutes so that the semolina soaks up the juices of the cucumber.
Making the Taushe Bhakri | Cucumber Rotti
On low flame, warm a tava.
Do not make it hot just a bit warm.
Smear a few drops of ghee or oil on the surface.
Place about 1/4 cup of batter in the middle of the pan.
Use your fingers to quickly pat it into a 6" circle.
Increase the flame to medium.
Cover and cook the bhakri for about 5 minutes.
Using a spatula, gently loosen the bhakri from the pan. Lift the edges to check that the side touching the pan cooked and golden brown in colour.
Flip the Taushe Bhakri and let it flip side cook for 2-3 minutes.
Serve Taushe Bhakri hot with
Molaga Podi
