  • 3/4 tsp Dhania or Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Haldi, Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Ajwain, Carom Seeds
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • Salt to Taste
Instructions
  1. In a kadhai, heat the butter. You can use a very large tawa, if you have it. I find it easier to cook in a kadhai.

  2. Add the ajwain and stir-fry for a few seconds.

  3. Add the onions.

  4. Stir-fry till the onions are translucent.

  5. Add green chillies, capsicum, ginger and garlic.

  6. Stir-fry for 3 to 5 minutes till the capsicum softens a bit and the raw smell of ginger and garlic disappears.

  7. Add the turmeric powder, coriander powder, chilli powder, and Pav Bhaji masala.

  8. Mix well and stir-fry for a minute.

  9. Add the tomato puree and salt.

  10. Cook till the mix thickens, and the butter starts to leave the sides.

  11. Add the paneer pieces and mix well.

  12. Turn off the heat.

  13. Cover and set aside for 5 to 10 minutes for the Paneer to absorb the flavours of the masala.

  14. Serve hot with rotis.
