Papad Churi Chaat is a simple snack of crushed roasted papad mixed with chopped onions, tomatoes, and some spices like chilli powder and chat masala. This simple recipe yields a lip-smacking crunchy tea-time snack. All you need to complete the experience is some hot Chai (Indian Milk Tea) to sip on.
1/4tspSendha Namak/Himalayan Pink Salt(can be replaced with table salt)
1/2tspLemon Juice(Optional)
Instructions
Prepping the Papad
Roast 2 large papads on an open flame or in an microwave.
Crush the roasted papad to large pieces.
Making the Papad Chat
To 1 cup roasted and crushed papad, add 1/4 tsp chaat masala, 1/4 tsp chilli powder, and 1/4 tsp salt and mix well. I used Sendha Namak (Himalayan Pink Salt) .
Now add 1/4 cup finely chopped tomatoes, 1/4 cup finely chopped onions, and some finely chopped coriander, and mix well.
{Optional} Add 1/2 tsp lemon juice and mix well.
Serve the Papad Chat immediately with some hot Chai | Indian Tea.
Notes
Serve the Papad Churi Chaat immediately after making it so that the papad does not become soggy.
