When you are a foodie, even family and friends dig out traditional recipes for you; this recipe for Angamaly Manga Curry is one such example. One of my neighbours in the apartment complex told me about this raw mango and coconut milk curry.
Jump to Recipe Jump to RecipeWhen Mrs. Anthony told me about this traditional Kerala recipe, I was quite curious because I quite like the pairing of Coconut Milk and Raw Mango, ever since I made the Manga Pachadi in Coconut Milk a couple of years ago.
What I loved about this Angamaly Manga Curry is that it pairs the tangy mango with mellow coconut milk. The addition of shallots and the heat provided by spicy green chillies and red chilli powder adds a depth of flavour that is further enhanced by the coriander powder and fennel powder.
Mix a generous spoonful of this Manga Karri with some rice topped with coconut oil, and you will savour every mouthful.
