Instructions
Over low heat, in a kadhai, dry roast the sesame seeds till they change colour and become aromatic.
Transfer the roasted sesame seeds to a plate and set aside to cool.
Over low heat, in the same kadhai, dry roast the flaxseeds till they become aromatic.
Transfer the roasted flaxseeds to a plate and set aside to cool.
Dry roast the red chillies till they start to change colour.
Add the roasted sesame seeds, flaxseeds, chillies and salt to the chutney grinder.
Pulse to get a coarse powder.
Do
not
grind for a long time as both the seeds are oily and the podi will become a lump.
Store in an airtight bottle.
You can eat this Til Alsi Chutney Powder by mixing it in rice or then as an accompaniment.
