Laccha Pyaz is a simple onion salad that is ready in about 5 to 7 minutes. Also colloquially referred to as Laccha Onion, this dish of crisp, tangy, mildly spicy raw onion ring sald is served as a side to Mughlai dishes. I also use it to spice up wraps or then as a bed upon which I serve tikkis, grilled paneer, and more.
We are back to being in the middle of another heatwave and are on the lookout for ingredients that cool the body. Onion is omnipresent in many an Indian kitchen and raw onion is well-known for its properties to cool the body. This simple Onion Salad called Laccha Pyaz or Laccha Onion is one of the best ways to eat raw onion. The best part is that it is super easy to make, delicious and a no-cook dish to boot.

Make this crisp Indian Onion Salad just before you wish to serve it, else the onion rings tend to soften.
