Panchamrutham (also called Panchamrut in Marathi and Panchamrit in Hindi) is an indispensable part of every Pooja and as the name suggests, it is a mix of for 5 nectars (Pancha = Five; Amrutham = Nectar).
There are a variety of recipes followed by various communities and today I present the version we make at home. I will try to post other recipes for this dish as well.
How to Make Panchamrutham | Panchamrut | Panchamrit
Time: 5 Minutes
Makes: 1 Cup
Ingredients
- Cow Milk – 1/3 Cup
- Yogurt (Made with Cow Milk) – 1/3 Cup
- Coconut Water – 1/4 Cup
- Honey – 2 tbsp
- Ghee – 1 tbsp
Method
- Mix all the ingredients together.
- Use in Pooja and offer as naivedyam.
- Serve as Prasadam.

Coconut water is new to me. We normally add dry fruits like Makhana, chironji, kaju and kishmish too.
